This truck is certainly becoming one with its environment. The rust tones are blending with some of nature's brush!

Instantly took me to my grandparents and the thought of them moving from Nebraska to Oregon in an old, Ford pickup... the whole family. It makes me laugh to remember grandpa when he got his Cadillac. He loved their huge doors and how he could swing his legs out once he had his hip surgery. I can still remember him demonstrating for me. But oh how I wish he'd kept the Ford. He wanted new and modern, I like the nostalgia of the old.

The old man stood there looking at his old Ford pick up remembering back to 1954 when he was a young man of 25 and just opened his gas station / garage. The business has lasted though out the years. He passed the business down to his son in 2000, where his son has made a few modernizing improvements...

Awesome photos of the old Ford Christina.

... and still is a beauty. I like the story Therese shared, sounds about right.

You found my first car!!! Actually, my very first car was a white Ford Pinto with Red Racing stripes, circa 1976.

That truck could have been my Grandpa's - he was a machinist and the bed of that truck was constantly full of tools and metal - it had lots of use! Wish I had his tools today...

Oh, how cool!
My brother is studying antique car restoration at McPherson College in Kansas (the only place you can get a BA in this). I'm betting he'd love to get his hands on this and turn it into a "now."
