CC7A Hop ~ May

The second monthly gathering of the CC7A ~ Therese sent this photo for the month of May.

And this is what I made with it ~ another month of full on Color!

I Bead EMBROIDERED with a lot of help from Cynthia!!!
This piece will be doing double duty and will be in mine and Therese's A Time To Stitch 7 Hop as well.  Because I am getting as much mileage as I can out of ANY DARN THING  I embroider.
The chain is oranges, green, blue, blue and gold.
The glass cab is compliments of Cynthia.  I am really happy with how this little beauty came out.  I see the benefits of knowing how to embroider but it is not something I love.  But I really needed to do it for Therese's month :-)

A Piece of Pensacola

This shell came back from Pensacola with a friend of mine.  It has been on the bead table for a couple years now.  I always knew I wanted to string it.  And after years of fondling.....voila!

The chain is made of pearls, peanut beads and charlottes ~ all woven together in a zigzag stitch.  The peanut beads give the chain a real nice dimension.  There will be many more peanut zigzags in my future!

It looks like a big waffle cone...

...from the backside too!

WTFriday?!?

It has been a looooooong time since a WTFriday?!?  post.  Way back near the beginning of this venture, I would post them when I wasn't completely confident that something should stay whole or go to the chop.  You know...those pieces that came out just like you imagined only a little underwhelming when all was said and done.  Lately, I have a stronger reaction to Keep or Chop.  But today, I need a little input as to which way it should go.

Here's it is :

Cynthia gifted me the snap and leather clasp.  She got it from Melinda Orr.  After using it, I will certainly be buying my own from Melinda.  These are beautifully made, easy to add on, and very comfortable.

Spring Cleaning

I opened the workshop for Spring ~ Summer ~ Fall last week.  When I shut the door in December, I left the remains of many, many projects scattered over every table and chair.  My intent was to spend the whole day organizing and cleaning.  I started by sweeping the floor.  That is as far as I got then gave in to the itch to bead.  Here is the result of my cleaning day:

delicas, size 15 seed bead, charlottes, firepolishes, button, one dog hair

Cleaning can always wait.....
