!!!~Happy Birthday Therese~!!!

Happy Birthday Therese!!!
We are so happy to be celebrating with you today!  Your Birthday Hop was such a fun event last year, and even better this year since You made all the party favors.  You are amazingly talented, open to new ideas, generous with your time and talent, kind with your words, and warm with your heart.  You deserve all good things today and every day, Therese.  Thanks so much for inviting me to the party again!

All the ladies are eager to show what they did with these cabs you generously made just for us and we cannot wait to see what you made yourself:

I took your gorgeous cab and kept it simple.  I really wanted to highlight what You made.  A piece this beautiful really needs no extra embellishment.  As you know, it is a substantial cab.  I drew from the colors of the glass and used 4mm fire polish black ABs, blue zircon seeds, and black matte twisted bugles.  It came together surprisingly fast, and just how I pictured it!  I must have been touched by your Birthday Magic :-)

Here it is on Fleur.  She really likes it when I take her top off and photograph on her painted body ;-)

This photo is taken on a blackboard out in the Sun.  The beads are reflecting on the blackboard...nice little touch.

The closeup shows those fire polish ABs shining.  And it shows the ladder stitch I used to make the bezel.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY THERESE!!!!!  Many Happy Years To Come!  Thank you for your friendship, inspiration, pushes, and fun challenges.  You are one of the brighter lights in my life :-D

From the ladder stitch to the double strand at the back and of course the cab bezel, its beautiful. You choose the perfect highlight colors and I love the slightly scalloped seed bead edging on the inside of the cab.

This is just fabulous, Christine! I love what you did with the bezel and I love that chain you made. It really is a perfect compliment to the beautiful cab Therese created! Love it!

Love the colors in that cab! Your color choice of beads and that bezel are a great compliment ;)

Oh Fleur going all risque on us - LOL .... I love how you've really subtlety framed Therese's cab, but given a hidden punch! Putting that cab in the sunlight draws out the deep blue in the pattern and reflects all through your beadwork - nice touch! LOVE that. Really beautiful necklace my friend! I bet Fleur just wanted to see how it felt - ha!

You know how much I envy your bezeling skills woman, and this is no exception. What a cool bezel, with enough interest to keep your eyes on the focal, but not enough to overwhelm it. This is a stunning necklace. I just love seeing your design processes.

Gorgeous work, Christine, always astonished how different backgrounds bring out the varied colours!

Christine, that is gorgeous! I love how you used the bugles in the bezel and in the necklace. You really made the cab shine (not that it needed much help, lol).

As usual, you found the perfect balance of colors to work with your inspiration. All of that dichroic could have led you down a really blingy road, but I love that you chose to keep your additions more understated and elegant. Sparkly and wonderful -- kind of like the birthday girl herself!

Christine, what can I say? You knocked this one out of the park I love it! I like the bezel you do the best bezels. I like the colors you chose to use they pick up on the colors in the cab but yet do not over power the cab and let the cab be the star. I really need to try that bugle rope stitch maybe that should be one of the ATTS challenge stitches. Thank you so much for celebrating my birthday with me. It would not be the same without you. I hope that you will celebrate many more with me too.
Love you much my friend,
Therese

Absolutely gorgeous, Christine - Therese's cabs called for being left to shine, didn't they?! You did such a perfect job at that, I simply love the necklace!
