Thursday's Thing*
How do you pop yours? Do you put anything on it?
I used to use Vulcan Fire Salt from the Spice House in Chicago but I ran out of it. That was nose-watering gooooood! Now I use Cabot Cheddar Shake...Powdered Premium Cheddar Cheese (I love anything Cabot makes), as does the rest of the family. I sometimes put sunflower seeds in mine, but they think I am crazy when I do that. And occasionally, I will have a glass of port when I eat it. The port with the cheddar is a good combination. When the Birdman is gone on a Friday or Saturday night, I will pop a whole lot and serve it with a side of raw veggies and fruit and call it dinner. And it is always lunch on a snow day.
*Appreciate what you have. Want for less...unless it is beads or music.

YUM! I can just smell that popping goodness!! I haven't made it the 'old fashioned' way since I was a kid - but it does taste better!!
I have an Orville Redenbacher machine like my parents had in the 80's. I love it! I add parmesan cheese, I Can't Believe it's Not Butter and black pepper on mine. Mmmm. I have not tried with veggies on the side, although popcorn is sometimes my dinner! Wine on the side is always a perfect complement.
Love that popper, I have something similar and it is the best I've ever tried. We use coconut oil -to pop the kernals - delicious!
I have that EXACT same popper!!! i make popcorn for dinner ONCE A WEEK! I justify this by telling myself how good I am being by eating all that fiber! :). I put way too much pure butter and tons of salt on it. (I am not a margarine girl...ugh!). Unlike you, I serve no side dishes with my popcorn..,I am a puritan!
Wow ... I really need one of these cool poppers! All your ideas sound terrific, like the cheese topping. I do use coconut oil, love the stuff in so many ways!
Is that a popper? Wow, I've never used one before. Here, popcorn is largely what you get when you go see a movie, so it's rather a treat! I do know that I'm pretty simple in my popcorn tastes though -- BUTTER please!
I bought an air popper a couple of years ago. I love fresh popcorn - none of that microwave stuff for me. I like to sprinkle it with powdered cheese and/or cajun seasoning. I want to try that fire salt.

LOL! When my husband takes a night off with buddies my favorite meal is a glass of wine and popcorn. I actually like mine just buttery and salty.
