Ears to You Blog Hop

Amy Freeland of Copper Diem is hosting today's Ears to You Blog Hop.  A big thank you to Amy for putting this together and for having such a big and generous heart!  Through her Green Bead Designs Etsy Shop, Amy gives 20% of her proceeds to charity.  In 2012 alone, Amy has donated $2,049 to the various charities that can be found on her Etsy Page.
Ears to You is a non-profit organization that offers free earrings to women undergoing chemotherapy.  It is simply to lift their spirits during a difficult time.  What a beautiful gift to give :-)

Earrings are not my forte...I struggle with them and buy other people's earrings rather than make my own, but I really wanted to be a part of this.
Here is my contribution, and I may sneak a few more in the package before I mail it out:

I was thinking of re-doing these to make them only one square long...thoughts on this?!?

Go on over to these other wonderful sites and see what everyone else is making for Amy's Ears To You Blog Hop.  Thanks Amy!!!

What a great idea to make earrings for the women.

I think your earrings are lovely and as far as one square or two, they're attractive either way. ♥

I don't believe you - you couldn't possibly have a problem making earrings because each pair on this page is AWESOME! Love them! Every time I come to your page, I inch a little bit closer to taking up bead weaving!

NOT YOUR FORTE? I don't believe you either! These are beauitful! Your beadweaving is spectacular and I love the shape of the first ones.

Well for someone who says earrings are not your forte, you've turned out some beauties. I'd leave the long ones as is. I especially loved wearing long earrings when my hair came out.

I love your earrings. I like the two squares but one would be pretty too. For not liking to make earrings you certainly did a great job :)!

Christine - the earrings you sent me (that you made) are some of my favorites! So I don't know why you think you don't do well with earrings! :)

These are such fun. The women who receive them will be absolutely thrilled. I know it!

No one would know you struggled with these - they are all gorgeous ... each one! I really like the beaded style - I always use wire in my earrings, but this time I went all beady :) I have got to get me some of those tilas you use .... they are fantastic.

Your earrings are all pretty, you should not stop the making! As for one square or two: I prefer two squares, are more special!

Me - I'd love wearing the longer ones since they're bold. (That's right angle isn't it?!)

Love your beadwork and there's going to be some very happy ladies wearing these sparklers.

I'm loving all the positive vibes going around the web today for brave women!

Definitely two squares for maximum swing! They are all beautifully crafted - love the extra texture the tila's give to your designs.

Gorgeous, Christine... I find earrings challenging because they are such a tiny canvas, and it is easy to try and "stuff" too much design into them. Less is more. I think you've got the perfect balance with these designs... don't change a thing!!

Hi Christine,
The earrings are beautiful and will look very pretty hanging from the ears of the women that receive them. This is a wonderful cause.

Such a kind deed which will not soon be forgotten. I'd rather buy stuff that I know will go to charity rather than for myself. This is my own way of helping them.

I love your designs! I like the 2 squares and think 1 square would look great too! It really depends on the wearer and whether or not they like shorter or longer earrings. :) This is a wonderful charity to support.
