The beads are the ones Sally enameled for all us Hoppers. The color I picked was cabaret. Sally also sent me orange and olive green beads. I added orange picasso rounds, wooden spacers, a wooden button, bamboo cord, and those dark brown thingies. I got those thingies in Michigan this past summer. I asked the bead store owner what they were. He didn't know. We both started speculating-wood, bone, coconut shell? The price was right and I wanted them regardless of what they were. He asked what I had in mind for them and I said "Nothing. I just like them."
Strung together like this they make a great sound when the clank together. Movement and Sound---Wish I had this to wear at all those concerts!
Thanks Sally~for the eye candy and for inadvertently bring some memories back to me!

Hey Christine ~ I love your beautiful, creative art piece and your groovey memories! Fun!
CHRIS!!!!! I'm freakin blown away from a design that I just didn't except from you but is just so YOU!!! I'm speechless at how creatively you used those large wood things that stare up at me from my own bead table!! This necklace is sooooo fabulous and the way the colors compliment the design!!! Gorgeous!!!
Thank you so much for participating and I hope you will join me for the next hop!!!
Christine,
I'm a BIG JB fan too (in fact, I'm currently wearing a Margaritaville t-shirt. . .ha!) and I totally see what you mean about those colors feeling tropical/ parrothead-like. I get it!
Your necklace does a great job of translating that feeling also. Those unusual brown pieces had me looking real hard at your necklace trying to figure out what you had made. It turned out beautifully. Great job.
Love what you did with the lentil. It's a great design and I love the wooden thingies!
Love the wood - it reminds me of kicking back and sipping those margaritas! Great mix of colors - and love how the Lentil dangles :)
What a great piece! Love how you used the wooden thingies, and the colors are so tropical! Makes me think of Hawaii!
I bet those wood beads do make a lovely clacking sound! I love how you pushed yourself to design something completely different! It's fun and funky and simple- lovely work! I also love your story! Great job, my friend!!!
Wow, that is very unique. The wood thingy is for sure interesting. Wonder what they are? You put it al together in a cool way.
Already posted on your lovely design...but wanted to let you know my link is incorrect - and should forward to: http://JLynnJewels.blogspot.com

WOW that is so unusual I love it! I would love to see what it looks like on, I bet it's fabulous!
Those bone/bamboo/wood things are just awesome. I love how they fit together and the color just pops from the darker background.
What a very unique piece that comes together wonderfully!! Very neat!
wow! Those wood thingies are incredible - love how you put it all together.
Very cool Christine! I would have never known what to do with those wood beads!
What a neat necklace. I could see that on Project Runway. Great colours too!
Awesome necklace! Especially those brown thingies! They look like they would have a deep, island-y sound. Beautiful!
oh man this is cool!! I love those wood pieces - really makes it unique!
What an interesting piece! Trying to imagine it on someone. This is definitely one of those pieces that ought to be displayed on a model, too. ;-)
Those brown thingies are very cool! I love your necklace and its uniqueness. So glad I had time to stop by!
Wow, this is some kind of a special and unique design, just stunning. The wooden spacers give a very spacy touch to your piece. That's fun!
