My Favorite Thursday of the Summer was spent with the BirdMan, going to Cruise Night in his '65 Mustang. We are contemplating selling it and getting a 1950something truck. But for now, we are still enjoying this car that is older than the both of us. He has been in a relationship with the car longer than he has been with me.
I can still remember the first time we made out in that car :-D
Here is my insider perspective, taken with my cell phone, which is a slight step above a flip phone.

I wish I could say that your car was older than me.....HOW CAN HE GET RID OF THAT CAR????? It is better than a Classic! Don't do it!!!!
I echo what Patti says! My husband sold an old classic about 20 years ago and he still regrets it to this day!
Nice post - I like your passenger perspective and your reminiscing that juicy little tidbit. ;)
Yeah what Patti and Amy said. A 65 Mustang was the best one made in my opinion. Love the pictures of the country side I can just smell the fresh air.

Beautiful! I had a 65 Mustang, too, in 1974 ~ dark blue and much loved.
The question is, "Will you make out in the truck?" lol Can you have both car and truck?
That looked like a beautiful ride in the country.
great post Christine! I think I can hear the song on the radio - ha! I grew up with Cheveys ... my Dad had a '55 and my older brother had a '57 ... I loved those old cars! they were awesome! (and yes, those ones were actually older than me :O)
Our first car was a mustang...oh the fun we had learning to drive it! Glad you have so many great memories with it!
How fun!!! I bet the car gets a lot of admirers. My dad would love it. His classic is a 1939 Dodge which has been sitting in the garage for years driving my mom nuts. It is such a cool car though!
You two are youngsters. Nothin better then neckin with your baby in a beautiful car, especially if its a 65 Mustang. Hmmmm . . . if you get an old truck you can toss a few pillows and a blanket in the back, park by the lake on a moonlit night and . . .
