Thursday's Thing*

Rain.  I guess today is a day to be thankful for it.  The state I love the most is on fire again.  And here we are getting hit with wave after wave of rain.  But today, I am ok with the rain.

And I am ok with my speck of a house.  Because I have one and it is still standing.  It has not burned in forest fires or been sent into splinters by tornadoes.

*Appreciate what you have.  Want for less...unless it is beads or music.

Agreed. Colorado is near the top of our possible move-to states, but, I admit, the fires make me nervous. And my brother and the family are moving to Kansas, to a house without a basement. I worry.

Then, I look out the window at all the gorgeous green and flowers in my backyard and am very very grateful.

I thought about you when I saw the fires. We all have a lot to be thankful for, even when it's hard to see it. Take care and have a good weekend. ♥

Well, I sure would love to be sitting with you on your pretty front porch right about now ... rain, and cocktails, sound wonderful.

There is so much we should be thankful for that is for sure! It has been rainy here but mostly cold. Your home looks cozy and inviting and your yard is beautiful. Enjoy your summer wherever you end up!

I do not understand why Mother Nature appears to have gone nuts these past couple of years...fires, devastating tornadoes, torrential down pours. I, too, am grateful for what I have and that it is firmly situated on the ground.

Your house looks positively darling! (I'm catching up on posts!) YEs, the rain stinks but, yes, at least we have shelter to keep us from getting too wet! :)
