What a fabulous photo, Christine! What caught my attention was the texture of the wall against the rusting, peeling paint. Doors tell us so much about history and culture. I was momentarily sad to see this one abandoned, but then I turned my thoughts to imagining all the entrances and exits this one had seen. The magic of your photo is that it can take us anywhere!
I have just a small thing about doors - they seem to tell a lot about the people inside ... do they just want to blend in? or stand out? do you want to let the outside in?
Oh I love a door with screens. And this one looks like it had them. I can hear it bang as the kids run in and out.
