Darn Good Yarn Reclaimed Sari Ribbon woven through ladder stitched bracelets. I ruffled the heck out of them with all those little seed beads. The Bug squeals every time she sees them and has also requested I make a few without the sari~just leave the ladder open. So~I will be doing that...and maybe teaching her how to do it too :-)
On the black & red one with the blue & red sari, those red beads came from Cynthia. They were part of a mix she gave me. I wasn't sure if they would ever make it into a project but they begged to be in this one. The beads come to us for a reason...even if we don't know it right away.
yes they do! those beads speak!! I am loving this series, and I can see why the Bug squeals ... these look so soft and lovely to have around the wrist!
ReplyDeleteI love the look of those! Nice work!
ReplyDeleteOMG, Christine, these must feel awesome on the wrist!
ReplyDeleteI like that you changed up the closure on each one. The copper is such a nice twist on your first design, and I agree - I'd love to see this worked up as an open design, that would be cool too!
ReplyDeleteThose are fabulous! I love the look of the sari woven between the beads. The ruffles are a great touch!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work Christine! They look like elegant, soft cuffs.
ReplyDeleteTotally brilliant!
ReplyDeleteI bet these are soft...these are amazing! the deep green in the first one...the Emerald Green-is my favorite!I have been looking at my fast-growing stash of beads that I have acquired lately, and there is alot of green sitting there! these are fantastic designs, and as usual, I am in awe of not only your bead weaving, but your colors leave me swooning!
ReplyDeleteCute idea - what a great way to incorporate sari ribbon into bracelets!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bracelets Christine and a great way to show of the beautiful Sari silk. I love the first one it would be a good one to wear during the Christmas season. I too would like to see what this design would look like without the Sari silk.
