Either an old house or country store. I don't know why, but a lot of these photos could have been taken in my South Jersey area! I guess they are universal and not indigenous to any one area.

I really love this old 'salt box' look ... I see it all over when we're visiting in RI, and it makes me think of those brave (or is it crazy) souls who first came over to the new world. I wonder what it must have been like to live in such an unfamiliar place. As adventurous as I am, not sure I could have done it

I wonder if the county has taken ownership (for unpaid taxes) and then just leaves these types of structures. Do you think newly built homes could withstand the ravages of time better than these old giants?

Very sad. This house looks quite old. It reminds me of Strawberry Banke which is a museum that preserves old house structured like this from the old ship making days in Portsmouth, NH.
